US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said today, Monday, that Washington’s main means of hostages in the Gaza Strip will continue through Steve Wittouf, President Donald Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East, and the work he is doing through Qatar.

Rubio added – in statements to reporters on his way to Saudi Arabia, according to the American Al -Hurra channel – that the direct meetings between Adam Bouler, President of Donald Trump’s envoy to the hostage, and Hamas regarding the release of the hostages in Gaza were suitable for “one time”, and did not pay the fruits yet.
Rubio continued: “Until now, the direct contact has not caused its fruits, and this does not mean that it was wrong in the attempt, but our basic tools for negotiations on this front will continue to and the work it is doing across Qatar.”
