The United Nations stresses the need not to allow hunger to spread again in Gaza – the seventh day

A spokesman for the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, precious Al -Khaitan, stressed the need not to allow hunger to spread again in the Gaza Strip, calling on the human community to ensure vital aid reaching the Strip without obstacle.

The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) quoted Al -Khaitan as saying that preventing the Israeli occupation authorities to enter all humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip is a matter that contradicts its responsibilities towards the state law, noting that the occupation is obligated to provide all the necessary capabilities to ensure that food and medical supplies reach the population in Gaza, in addition to securing the health system.

Al -Khaitan stressed that the Israeli occupation should allow the introduction of humanitarian aid and other basic needs, and to facilitate its arrival in the Strip.

Regarding the Israeli occupation’s decision to completely stop all aid to Gaza, Khaitan described this step as unacceptable and violates Israel’s obligations under state law, warning of the negative repercussions of the high prices of basic foodstuffs, and the spread of concerns about the access to the basic needs of life in Gaza in the future.
