Israeli Channel 12: Netanyahu pressed the Shin Bet, to resign, but the latter refused during the “difficult” meeting – the seventh day

The Israeli Channel 12 reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pressed the head of the Shin Bet Security Agency, Ronin Bar, to submit his resignation, during a meeting between them last week.

According to a report by the channel, which did not mention the source of the information, the head of the Shin Bet Authority refused to submit to Netanyahu and submit his resignation, during the meeting that the channel described as “very difficult”.

The channel itself had previously stated that Bar insists on not step down from his position until all the hostages were returned and a government committee was formed to investigate the failures surrounding the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.

The relations between Netanyahu and the head of the (Shin Bet) applied sharply in recent months, as Prime Minister Bar and Mossad heads David Bernena sacked from the presidency of the team that negotiates the agreement of the Gaza truce and the liberation of the hostages.

Netanyahu is currently meeting with senior ministers to discuss the position of Israel, while sending negotiators to Qatar for a new attempt to hold talks aimed at liberating the hostages and ending the war in Gaza.
