Participants in the meeting of the Syrian neighboring ministers of the Syrian countries condemning Israeli interventions on Syria – the seventh day

Foreign Ministers, Defense Ministers, Chiefs of Staff and Directors of the Intelligence Services in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Turkish Republic, the Syrian Arab Republic, the Republic of Iraq, and the Lebanese Republic, stressed standing by the Syrian people in their efforts to rebuild their country on the foundations that guarantee Syria’s security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and preserve the rights and safety of all its sons.

This came in a joint statement issued by the participants after their meeting in the capital, Amman, on Sunday.

They stressed that Syria’s security and stability is a pillar of security and stability in the region, and to condemn all attempts and groups targeting the sister security and sovereignty of Syria, expressing their condemnation of the Israeli aggression on Syrian soil, and attempts to interfere with and reject Israeli interference in the Syrian affairs; A clear violation of international law, an attack on the sovereignty of Syria and its territorial integrity, and an escalation that will push towards more conflict, demand the international community and the Security Council to play its role in implementing international law and international humanitarian law, stopping this Israeli aggression, ensuring that Israel withdraws from all the Syrian territories that it occupied, stopped the attacks on it, and respects the agreement to decipher the clash between Syria and Israel in 1974.

According to the statement, the participants welcomed the outputs of the Syrian National Dialogue Conference, and encouraged Syrian brothers to issue the constitutional declaration announced by the conference as soon as possible.

They expressed their condemnation of terrorism in all its forms, cooperation in its fighting military, security and intellectual, and the launch of a joint operations center for coordination and cooperation in combating the terrorist organization ISIS, and to support the existing regional and international efforts and platforms of work; In order to eliminate this organization and the danger it represents on the security of Syria, the region and the world, and dealing with ISIS prisons.

They pointed to cooperation in combating drug smuggling, weapons, and cross -border crime, and to provide support and support to Syria in enhancing its capabilities in this context, noting the need to support Syria in the reconstruction efforts, and mobilize international support to increase the volume of targeted aid projects, and enhance its capabilities in the reconstruction of the state, and overcome all the obstacles that have the reconstruction efforts.

They also stressed the need to lift the sanctions on Syria; In order to enhance its capabilities to rebuild and meet the requirements of the Syrian people and enhance economic, commercial and investment cooperation, and cooperation in building infrastructure, including the energy and transportation sectors between Syria and its neighboring countries, and in a way that contributes to enhancing economic development.

The participants noted the work together, in cooperation with the countries of the region, the international community, and the relevant United Nations organizations; To create the security, life and political conditions that allow a safe and sustainable return of Syrian refugees to their homeland in a manner consistent with international law, and the need for the international community to continue to assume its full responsibilities for refugees in the host countries until the return of refugees to Syria is complete.

Participants agreed to hold a second meeting round in Türkiye during the next month; To build on today’s deliberations between the combined countries, and make the necessary decisions regarding them.

The meeting discussed ways to support the Syrian people in their efforts to rebuild their homeland on the foundations that guarantee the unity, sovereignty, security and stability of Syria, and its disposal of terrorism, and ensure the conditions of safe and sustainable voluntary return of Syrian refugees to their homeland, and preserve the rights of all Syrians.

The meeting was held at the invitation of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in the Jordanian capital, Amman, Foreign Ministers, Defense Ministers, Chiefs of Staff, and the managers of intelligence services in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Turkish Republic, the Syrian Arab Republic, the Republic of Iraq, and the Lebanese Republic.

During the meeting, the meeting discussed practical mechanisms for cooperation in combating terrorism, smuggling drugs and weapons, ensuring border security and facing other joint challenges in the region, and developments in the situation in the Syrian Arab Republic.
