Iraq announced its intention to expand the production of artillery munitions and the rehabilitation of mortar production lines, and drones in cooperation with international companies specialized in military production.
“The authority has made great achievements in the field of military and civil industries, with the support of the Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shi’a Al -Sudani, as it was able to take confident and great steps, establish and build many specialized factories, most notably the light Mandae Factory whose first stage was opened in July 2024.”

He added that “this project is one of the important strategic projects that provides light norms of the security forces with a production capacity of 63 million rounds according to international specifications, and the factory includes advanced machines and equipment, examination laboratories, and throwing squares, and for quality we work according to international standards.”
He pointed out, “The authority continues to open new factories, and opened a large factory in Baghdad to produce combat armored wheels, which contributed to providing the security forces with more than 600 armored wheels so far distributed to the interior and the popular crowd, and that we have other projects to produce artillery, mortars and drones, and the authority operates according to an advanced strategy to support the security forces.”
