In another context, the governor of Lattakia, Muhammad Othman, said that the spread of large numbers of the remnants of the regime has been monitored more than 4,000 people in Tartous and Lattakia, confirming the implementation of combing operations in the city of Qirdaha and its surroundings.

He added: “We carried out operations to arrest thieves who stole private property during the recent events, and we also monitored the spread of large numbers of the remnants of the regime more than 4 thousand people in Tartous and Lattakia.”
He pointed out that “the security forces deployed in the city of Qirdaha, and combing operations were carried out in its vicinity.”
Earlier, Mohamed Othman said, in an exclusive meeting with “Syria TV”, that “the security and military forces have dismissed the siege on the security and police centers in Lattakia Governorate, which was imposed by armed groups belonging to the remnants of the ousted regime and outlaws.”

The governor stressed that “units from the Ministry of Defense and Security entered the city from the early morning, and were able to regain control of the targeted sites,” noting that “security operations are continuing to ensure stability in the region.”
He also explained that “the security services have strengthened their deployment in the city to prevent the recurrence of such attacks,” stressing that “the security forces managed to kill a number of militants and arrest others, while the forces will start tomorrow’s extensive pursuits to remove the remnants of the former regime.”
Othman pointed out that “the clashes witnessed by Lattakia since yesterday resulted in the killing of more than 70 members of the security forces and the army,” stressing that the authorities are studying the possibility of ending the curfew tomorrow, as civilians showed a positive response to security decisions.
