In this regard, the deputy director of the Syrian Civil Defense Organization, Farouk Habib, explained that “there are no accurate numbers for the victims of the events in the coast, especially with the inability of the civil defense teams to reach all areas due to the security conditions.”
Habib pointed out that “most of the incidents took place in areas where civil defense teams, or the Syrian Red Crescent, do not spread.”

He continued, “So far, we have dealt with dozens of fires in homes or shops, and dozens of emergency ambulances, and we transported the bodies and we have postponed many families, especially in Banias and Lattakia.”
